Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Korean Neurosurgical Society, it is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Korean Neurosurgical Society.

This year’s meeting is particularly meaningful as it marks the first international joint congress bringing together the neurosurgical societies of Korea, China, and Japan. As neighboring countries that share not only geographic proximity but also a longstanding commitment to advancing neurosurgical science and patient care, this gathering represents an important milestone in strengthening regional collaboration and fostering mutual growth.

Under the theme, “Global Neurosurgery: Innovation, Collaboration, and the Future Ahead,” we aim to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of neurosurgery and envision the future that lies before us. The remarkable progress in artificial intelligence, robotics, precision medicine, advanced imaging, and minimally invasive surgical techniques is transforming the way we diagnose, treat, and care for our patients. At the same time, these innovations remind us that meaningful progress is best achieved through cooperation, shared knowledge, and collective leadership.

This congress will provide an exceptional platform for distinguished experts, researchers, and young neurosurgeons from across Asia and beyond to exchange scientific insights, present groundbreaking research, and discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in our field. More importantly, it will serve as a bridge that strengthens professional friendships and deepens academic partnerships among our societies.

As neurosurgeons, we share a common mission—to improve the lives of patients through excellence in clinical care, research, and education. By working together beyond national boundaries, we can accelerate innovation, address global healthcare challenges, and shape a brighter future for the next generation of neurosurgeons.
